Nintendo Switch has saved my life. Empty Nintendo Switch has saved my life.

Post by Briljasan Sat Aug 24, 2019 2:25 am

Earlier today I tweeted this:

Nintendo Switch has saved my life. ECrkyF6UIAUnTeO?format=jpg&name=small

with the caption of how satisfied I am about Nintendo & the Nintendo Switch, & honestly, I am just very grateful. In today's day & age, it seems like its impossible to develop just beautiful & fun single player games that is optimize to immerse you, no micro-transactions & loot box galore & all that blah blah, but this is the THIRD Nintendo Switch game that i've played that has been just on point.

I first played Breath Of The Wild. Amazing single player game, then I played Mario + Rabbits (Xcom wannabe) I thoroughly enjoyed myself, & now Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Call me what you want to call me, but having a very busy schedule, I value being able to just stop for a good hour or two, & get sucked into a world for a bit, without having to worry about all of these various external factors.

Thanks Nintendo. Share your thoughts if you have an opinion.

The Switch really is a blessing honestly. I've played BotW too which was truly amazing (buT I MISS THE DUNGEONS AND UNIQUE ITEMS THO). Aham, I digress. Many titles on the Switch give that wholesome pure game experience from what I've seen, even if they're not by Nintendo. I finally got to play Undertale like 5 months ago on the Switch and I loved it. Makes the experience kind of personal when you can get a PC/console game and play it with you in bed or on the bus.

As for Three Houses, I didn't get to it yet silent. I loved Awakening and Fates on the 3ds but then kinda forgot about the series as a whole :0. I heard of Echoes but for some reason I didn't really feel attracted to it. Might check out Three Houses tho, it looks REALLY good from what I've seen

YES! I think this really has propelled gaming story telling, being able to jump into a world anywhere at anytime, a lot like how you can with a book. Of course hand held consoles is nothing new, but I think the library of games that the switch is exposing is just the greatest.

You are going to LOVE Three Houses. I was a bit skeptical on the relationship sim aspect, but it is quite fun & addicting.

Oh but I absolutely LOVED that in Awakening/Fates. For most couples they could have a kid that could then be recruited as an additional unit in your army. Depending on the parents, the children could have different classes, skills and stats. It was a huge MESS trying to pick the parents to make all sorts of interestingly skilled children, but that mess lured me in even more.

I want to get a switch in the future, I played a lot of rounds of Smash Ultimate on my friend's while we were at a hotel. The games look really great and I love the portability/ease of use they advertise.

It's really the best. So long as you aren't one of those "GRAPHICS! GRAPHICS!!!!" gamers. You'll love it
